Every natural has a hair story, and it's not always pretty. Maybe you damaged your hair with relaxers, maybe braids and weaves caused thinning. Perhaps you fried your curls, or the baby took the baby hairs, and stress took the rest. Or maybe you've never known how to bring out the beauty of your crown. Whether you're learning to love your texture or re-grow your edges, the natural hair journey is deeply personal.

When I started my loc journey in 2016, I had already cut all my hair off twice and decided that being natural was too much work. Yet I was frustrated when I saw that there were not many resources to be found on locs. I didn't feel confident in my new hair and wasn't sure how to nurture my crown. So I sought to build community online.

Since 2017, I have been been sharing my hair journey. I tried products and reviewed them for our community, shared confidence tips and affirmations, and developed new styles to give others a first hand look into the loc journey.

On my loc journey, I realized that I and so many others struggled with dryness and breakage caused by a lack of moisture. Determined to find a solution, I set out to learn, experiment, and ultimately create my own formula—one designed to nourish, hydrate. This product turned out to be the only thing I needed for my locs and I decided to share it with the world.

Spirited Locs was born from a deep love for natural hair and the people who rock it.
